“The South Ledges, Appledore” is an oil painting by Frederick Childe Hassam, an American artist. The painting depicts the rocky coast of Point Lobos, near Carmel, California. The painting is an oil on canvas and was created in 1914. The composition exhibits Hassam’s broken brushwork and his use of bare canvas.
