“Larkspur” is a famous wallpaper pattern designed by William Morris in 1874 and published in 1875. The design features a foliate pattern with flowers, printed in grey on a pale ground. The pattern was block-printed in distemper colors on paper. The pattern features the signature elements of William Morris’s wallpaper designs, with delicate flowers interspersed with winding leaves and branches. The “Larkspur” pattern is housed in several major art galleries and museums, including the V&A in London and The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
